Stifle does a great job in reading this stand alone novel by ERB. I like the novel. I just haven’t thought to read it very often.
Do not recommend. The story is weak, the conversations stiff, and the narrator is just very, very mediocre. About as good as if a regular person was reading a book out loud, rather than the professional grade narrators you find for some books.
Book is interesting. The reader sounds like Homer Simpson so it is mildly distracting. Ready to hear the next one!
I love David Stifel as a narrator and Travis Bagwell is a consistently solid author. I loved the book, great reading while at work.
Ticks all the boxes of old school horror. Strong stomache recommended. This book can give veteran horror readers the creeps.
I want to give this book 4.5 stars since, although I’ve enjoyed every book in this series, the scenes with Alex are becoming more and more annoying to me. Jason is progressing well along his path, his real life is becoming more complicated with the trial and his impending romance with Riley. Alex on the..
I’m glad that Frank got his own side tale. The book starts off with the typical Frank moping about how useless he is and then deciding to go on an adventure away from the Twilight Throne. Frank encounters a massive bear that he kills. He eats the bear’s heart and uses his ability to absorb..
The first book was okay and enough to justify an audible credit. However, the series really seems to drop off in quality through Book 2 onward. Book 3 was a slog. The worst offense is the murder sub-plot that was set-up in Book 2. Its so far off from anything remotely near reality and is..
Many people are familiar with a part of Chuck Yeager’s life from the movie “The Right Stuff.” Let’s say that, while very entertaining, the movie does not get everything right. The real story is even more interesting. Chuck’s adventures in through World War II would alone also make an almost unbelievable movie. Chuck was a..
book gets going around chapter 20. it is a bit of a slog getting past the nerd voice of the teen MC and the slow character building aspects, but if you can push through it picks up.
