I enjoyed the story, but, it seemed to trudge along at points. mostly in the beginning. The narrator did well-enough to keep me listening, but, he sounded as if he was restrained in himself (if that makes sense.) I will probably read/listen to the entire series nonetheless.

what a good book. Best book in the series since the first one. really brought the character Frank to life. was not really my favorite character but now very dynamic and interesting.
I enjoy the storytelling and character development. The narrator still is not great and struggles with female voices…they all sound the same

A useful complement to Doug Irwin’s Clashing Over Commerce. Johnson is light on the economics side, often citing magazine articles rather than academic research. But he shares some of his Washington experience as a staffer, Congressman, and part of the USTR office to give valuable political insights that more rigorous books often overlook.
I’m a huge fan of this series and Frank is definitely my favorite character. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this side quest and I was definitely happy with it. Seeing Frank face his own demons and overcome them was just awesome. I can honestly say that I had trouble pausing the book to do normal things..
