Excellent and well written. The story is believable and flows well with numerous re-encounters of characters along the way.

I grew up on the coastlines of NC and SC and many of the areas mentioned in this series I know very well. This series is exceptionally written and the the detail in some of the areas and battle scenes are unparalleled. You will not be disappointed in this read. Thanks Mr. McDermott.

we I started this thinking I wouldn’t really enjoy it but I was really pleasantly surprised. it kept me entertained and waiting for the next chapter. I’d recommend it to anyone who likes post apocalyptic books.

What a pleasant surprise. Purchased this book thinking another “End of the World” story. I thoroughly enjoyed the religious aspect being woven into it. Never preachy – gives you much to ponder. Fast paced and good character development. Goodwin doesn’t hold his punches plus Kevin Pierce narration is first class.
