Even at ten hours the story was over too soon with many unresolved story lines. To read books in a series is always frustrating when the next book isn’t out yet. Anxiously awaiting the climatic next book after being left with a cliff hanger after book 3.

Typically I lean towards reading Post Apocalyptic stories as I enjoy the genre, but when I saw Franklin Horton had written a new book I was immediately interested. Random Acts is a really great story with lots of plot twists and action. The character development is well done and you really start caring for them..

I enjoyed the slightly different take on societal collapse. I am afraid the political and financial background was a little confusing for an average reader. Having most of the women in the book being helpless wimps with normalcy bias got really old. There are women preppers to who don’t appreciate that stereotype.
