I very much enjoyed this story. Serious subject matter, yet uplifting at times. the reader had a very engaging voice which kept me very into the story the whole time. I had a difficult time putting down this story. I think I finished it in one day at work.

This book follows Lou from the Scourge until she meets up with Marcus. Through all the apocalypse books I’ve read, I’ve never wanted to give a character so many hugs. This child lived through so many trials but each also added to her strength. Such a wonderful story!
