Grainy, gritty telling of bringing a killer to justice. Most fascinating to me was the killer’s evolution into the monster he became. Portraits in terror, self-delusion, and selfless courage.
As always, Kevin Pierce is the voice of the apocalypse, and the books would not be the same without him. These books keep getting bigger and better. I tend to enjoy these better than the borrow World Series really looking forward to where the next couple books go and see how the invasion plays out.
This book is unique because it deals with a natural disaster, solar flares, rather than an act of war. I also enjoyed that the book followed different groups attempting to get home.
