Concept was good. Dialogue seemed choppy. I felt like some themes among the characters could have been explored more. Some of the performers narration was almost intolerable.
Loved the mystery. I felt the recap was too long-winded. And really, he didn’t need to kill the dog! There were two male chauvenist comments. The narrator gave a wonderful interpretation of a young woman, but her narration dropped sentence inflections. Still, there were great moments of humor and the characters were believable and sympathetic…

This book keeps you on your toes. The jumping from person perspective to earlier history and the modern era and how it all came around to be was very well thought out and I commend the author. Spiritually speaking, it demonstrates the racism of different immigrants and it all boils down to the same issues..
I loved this book. I learned so many things from it and enjoyed very much the style of writing as well as the narrator. Listen to this book. Your life will benefit from it.

This was a struggle to get through. The last 70 pages were good but didn’t make it worth suffering through the rest. Woof. Well written but the story needed some work. Could’ve been better, needed some more twists and was definitely missing that wow factor
I enjoyed listening to this in chapters. Each chapter is structured in a way that is east to stop and listen… and pick-up seamlessly.
