Listener trust Mrs. Austin writing style as the story starts slow, stay with it and you’ll be blessed! Story comes around beautifully woven, Thank you Lynn for sharing this work, as it helped me reflect on and process my own illegitimacy, it’s okay to acknowledge how my life was affected by not knowing my dad,..
While the story timeline moves around, it does it in a very graceful way. The storyline is tied together very well and you will want to continue listening until the very end.
Lynn Austin is a new author to me, but this book was way more than I expected. It was simply incredible. If you are not a person of faith you may not like listening to it, BUT if you want to experience real life characters in all their flawed, sinful, caring, screwed up ways struggling..
I loved how the stories were woven together. Some parts were predictable but I enjoyed it all the same.
I just finished this and I am in tears. What a moving story spanning generations. One particular part of the story really opened my eyes to the consequences of sin, whether or not what we do is for the “right reasons”. The narrator was great. I highly recommend this book and will be reading many..
Loved the story, didn’t like the narrator. It sounded like she had a cold which was very distracting. Also, the hymns that the girls sang are well known hymns, couldn’t the narrator have sung them properly?
This was a pretty thorough and detailed book. I learned a lot of concepts! Unfortunately, there were a lot of outdated concepts in here. For example, recommending vegetable oil as lube was something that I found strange and outdated.
Lynn Austin hit a home run with this book. Brought love to life. Love of family, love of God and love that is greater than our personal wants and desires.
