Basically the book just tells you you’re a victim. She sprinkles in a couple fax about how people victim mise others. Which I guess could be helpful but overall the take away is if you don’t have a perfect relationship you are a victim of an emotional manipulator!
book was hard to put down but I was not a big fan of the narrator. I liked the narrator in the first book in this series better.
Narrator is clearly not a boater and mispronounced many nautical words. But the story carries the day.

It goes without saying that Julie Gottman presents amazing material. What I cannot get over is Hendrix’s narraration. She has the perfect voice for reenacting the therapy sessions presented in the book.
If you’re like me and have been leaving this book on the back of your shelf or wishlist thinking you’ll get around to it…get around to it. It’s everything promised, an all around feel good read that will have you chuckling throughout. I was literally smiling the entire time I listened to this. Very well..

Very informative and practical book. The narrator however, did not always put the right emphasis on the correct words. It made it a little harder to understand some of the passages the first time around.
