This compilation was a pleasant surprise. Magic blended with far-future, intergalactic settings in a way that, for me, was fresh and new. Beyond the premise of the setting itself, watching the individual kid characters development through similar but different experiences/interpretations of generational/specific trauma in a way that felt lived in and real was a genuine..
Loved this, full box set and what a wonderful series. Enjoyed it, and land of stories too

I enjoyed this series, easily visualizing and relating to the characters. Great story. great characters, great voice work. All around I’m glad I picked this as an unknown to try something else. I’ll definitely look into other titles by the same author and also pursue more by the same narrator. Good job guys!
I’ve listened to the whole saga, from Mirth and Mayhem to Passage of Time. The characters are great and whether you love to hate them or just love them. They are fun to get to know. This saga isn’t my typical bag but I highly recommend this omnibus and the rest of the Black Ocean..

Absolutely love the story. Having played D&D since the 1980’s I’ve always loved storylines that incorporate real world players entering a game. The DM entering as a normal person was great.

it’s so boring. if you need something to help you sleep, this is the book for you.
The way they removed three characters from the story didn’t sit right with me. And, while I like where Esper ended up at the end on a personal level, I sorta hated it on an occupational level. It felt very out of character for her to pull that power move. There is no spoiler tag,..
