This is an excellent companion to Dante. Professor Esolen is knowledgeable and a good speaker.

More than ever, this book is a great reminder that we need our Holy Mother to overcome the time of evil. She is ready to take us to her Son and therefore to our Father.His grace is sufficient! Great writing!

I often look for the “gems” in my spiritual reading; those lines which resound the most strongly in my conscious thought and answer the questions I may have been wrestling with. In some books I might come across a few, but in this book, every line was a gem I could use!!!

A detailed and exciting analysis of Dante, scholarly, but far from pedantic. I read each Canto once prior to each lecture, then another time after each lecture to great profit.

My words are lacking for such a grand and remarkable piece of literature as Dante’s Paradise. I can not fathom anyone in our world today better equipped to present it to us.
