The story was good but near the end he just goes off bashing his critics. Feels a little disjointed and a bit padded because of this. His insights seem more like common sense but that could just be because of my personal outlook on the matter.

I think of Jesus agonizing in the garden often on Thursday evenings. St. Padre Pio’s medication and prayer is awe inspiring evan as the Agony of Jesus is Heartbreaking. I am sorry, Jesus, for my sins that have caused Thee to sweat blood.

This is a very helpful guide to Dante’s work. If it wasn’t for Dr Esolen I’d still be in the Inferno .It took awhile to get through this great work but it is worth it.I look forward to returning again to Dante’s works and will bring these guides along.
