The story is very comprehensive and detailed. In many cases that gave insights. However, a story could be equally effective with half the content. I listen to the book at 2X speed.

Amazing world building and character growth the plot is getting better the longer I listen

So many holes in this story. Why do aliens travel billions of miles just to treat Earth like a smorgasbord? This book shares a lot with the name given to its alien invaders – they’re both clankers.

The story is overly voice acted, meaning the character seem to be overacting what’s happening in this simple plot. The plot needs more complexity.

this whole series kept me captivated throughout! sometimes the character build dialogues would go on a bit but were necessary in the end.

In preparation for the release of this book, I re-listened to the previous books in the series. It was very obvious that the MCs are basically morphing into the same character. I hope things become more interesting in future books.

Hopefully this will become an epic movie franchise!!! Fantastic story line and character development. Ivan is there with Brandon Sanderson, Tolkien, Craig Alanson and Yuri Ulengov.

I really didn’t care. For some reason this story didn’t pull me in. I think the character development was too shallow and the tension never really developed. Ended up quitting on chapter 27 I think.

Listening to the characters change and seeing their trajectory was great fun. Give it a try.

I loved this book as well as the rest of the series that preceded it. Strongly recommend!
