This is a very unique series and it starts out really good. But by book four it feel and reads like the author was just bored. Half the characters in the book get no closure. The author was just tired of the series and decided to end it. The author does do a good job..
The mix of past and present was very well done. The backstories were enjoyable and I hope there is more to learn excited to listen to the next book.

I love the story, the characters, the flow, the stress and the fact that almost everyone is certifiable. The framework won’t let Ryun be great but nothing will stand in his way. Can’t wait for the next. P.S. i I do appreciate that the character sheets aren’t in our faces all the time.

The story is great and I’m loving the series. But come on dude. Literally half the book is just skill descriptions. I have to skip 30 minutes to a full hour of every chapter. Because the author chose to recap every skill in every chapter. Like he was just filling pages with whatever to drag..
