A boring book up till the end, story got interesting at the end of the book with the team battle, interesting items and story situation that came up. Till then it was just boring survival litrpg cliché.

I’m so grateful to the author for this incredible book about Captain Kidd. It took me on a whirlwind of emotions and left me deeply moved. By the end, I’d truly come to love Captain Kidd.

Interesting, good characters, holds attention, well written, entertaining, improves outlook on world, and leaves you feeling happy and uplifted! Recommend this book 100%

Good concept, dull execution. Military logics themselves were more of an actual character than any people in this book were.

Good narrator. He is also more subtle than some of the others, but extremely pleasant and appropriate for the story.

So life like. Parents stood united and tried their best. Best true crime I read in a while.

I disliked long, seemingly drawn out, descriptions of various groups in the initial chapters although some of it was interesting. I appreciate the point of these chapters, but I decided to skip ahead once I felt I got the gist. Later sections are golden. 5 stars

That was a good book about something I have never known before, if this happens before I was born. I did rate it somewhat lower than I would have, as midway through the book the author there’s into a “ say no to drugs“ type of pontification and appears to base his research on things..
