really hope the next book shows heavy political backlash on the abyssal legion, the amount of autonomy they’ve been allowed combined with there resistance to adaptation kinda makes it surprising they haven’t been wiped out in a multi-nation crusade, here is hope the folks pressure means titus gets royally chewed out for being an idiot.
Bad guy is all powerful

So I understand it’s part of the fun to some making the bad guy invincible, but this is ridiculous, the guy can just appear where he wants, apparently knows the location of all the places everyone is looking for, as well as the location of everyone at all times and can transport 500 tons like..
This story starts off a bit on the slower side given how the previous one ended, however the author takes it and uses it as an opportunity to reveal some pretty critical world building/lore. This really helps push with the protagonist’s character building and reaffirms his motivations. Once that phase ends the story picks up..
