I enjoy the story. I think the narrators have done a great job. I give the performance 1 star because of all the sound effects and background music. I really dislike it.
Sound effects in books

I enjoy the story. I think the narrators have done a great job. I give the performance 1 star because of all the sound effects and background music. I really dislike it.
It’s a critical part of the series but the Iron Tangle aspect was probably my least favorite part in an otherwise excellent book. Stay with it. What you learn in this book pays off.
This is a really fun book. Well written. Excellent voice acting. Good sound effects. One of the most enjoyable audio books I’ve listened to.
The narrator on this book is so good it makes me regret giving any other book a 5 star rating on narration. I need an extra star for this guy!
as the last books every moment is entertaining and fun also keeps you guessing!! Thanks Matt another winner I’ve listened to it several times at this point
I see a lot of comparisons to DCC, but I think the story stands well on its own. It was a touch slow at first, but with enough quirkiness to keep interest until the investment builds with the characters. I wish the ending gave a little more time with the characters, but I still think..
Story seemed good, narration and acting was awesome….but the second abilities and their scores start being narrated, I lose immediate interest. Womp womp. 🙁
The narration? Top-tier. Not just good—ridiculously good. Every character has a distinct voice and personality, and it genuinely feels like a full cast performance. Carl’s dry, “how is this my life?” energy is perfect—but let’s be real, the MVP is Her Royal Highness Princess Donut. The voice, the attitude, the pure diva energy… I would..
