there’s nothing specific to put my finger on, but there’s just a slight feeling of something being off as if English is not the primary language of the author or similar except it applies to everything from pacing to plot hooks, not just wording

I was hesitant to jump into this series but I am SO GLAD I did!!! This story is so fun and entertaining I don’t know if I’ve ever enjoyed an audiobook as much as this one. Love the narration and the sound effects! Cannot wait to continue the series.
