Book 2 is so much better than book one. I enjoyed it a lot. He barely complained about anything and didn’t worry as much. The story seemed to move forwards way faster. Lots of action. Not as much stopping time to talk to himself. Some but nothing compared to book one.

Carl and Donut get not only a nice background expansion, they also have a great adventure. Im loving the characters evolution and the background story.
A good book needs a relatable protagonist, and someone who is sometimes influenced to become a inexplicably dumb goblin with emotional rash reactions makes it hard to like the protagonist. it’s just a big detraction from the book.
It’s like they rushed the book to the publishers while it was only 2/3 complete.

Aaron Oster is a beast at writing . I became a fan when he put out his first series rise to omniscience and been so ever since . But this series is a bit different and yet great . You can’t help to like the 3 main characters and their interactions with each other …
The number of plot holes and contradictions in this book is staggering. It’s as if no one read the first book before working on this one…
Jeff Hays is my favorite narrator! I love Annie too, but Jeff has to be the cream of the crop! Pazi P and Nick Podehl are my other favorites, give them a listen if you have not yet, and are reading this review.
Loved the characters enjoyed the story. Did think that there could have been a lot more to the war. The fact that stumpy got kicked so quickly was a little sad expected more like the battle in Teresa book 5. Longer and more drawn out. Loved what happened to Jackson. specially the transformation
the book stores is just prefect and can’t wait for more in the future.
