I’m a huge fan of Dungeon Crawler Carl…read all the books several times…this book is just as good. The ending is nanners. I absolutely loved it.
The narrator sounds like one of the default voice options from ElevenLabs. I’m so used to Matt Dinniman having top shelf narration. I REALLY hope the next DCC does not do this.
So, I wanted to read this book for a long time before I actually used a credit on it. I am very picky with the narrators of audiobooks and I had a hard time getting past the narration at first. I got used to it after a while but Jeff Hays toned it down after..
I finally finished! This one took me a hot minute to get thru because I was just not in the best head space for it when I started. That said I loved the ongoing saga that is Carl and his Queen and true star of the show, Princess Donut! Flying zombie/vampire/bird hookers!? Yes please! 😂..
all of the women are super powerful and can’t make mistakes, all of the men are crude or creeps 🙄. why can’t we just have entertainment, everything doesn’t need to be political
Oh my gosh. This story has everything. Humor, combat, drama. Everything that I would want in a novel. The voice actor is also phenomenal which makes an audiobook even better to listen to. 10/10!
This was AMAZING. And we continue to not learn from cautionary tales of AI. Hopefully, the human spirit will always triumph.

NEW ACHIEVEMENT: You’ve read a book. Good for you. Your parents must be proud. But what did you learn from it? Nothing is as at seems…
Book two was just ok for me. It started out pretty good, but I started to lose interest. The quests were more weird than interesting. But I’m still a fan of Princess Donut, so I’m moving on to book three. Wish me luck.
