I was reccomend this as fan of Dresden File. While it dose share the magic PI angle, it is more like Ground Hog Day. It is a strong first outing but alot of its humor doesn’t really work. Plan the read the second book

Just be aware how much this story emphasis the whole nonbinary storyline too much. I was disappointed in all of the story distracting with the maid. Merging a dead guy and female panther, cross dressing, etc. bummed out as it took away a lot from what could have been some good laughs. If you can..

The book keeps you hooked from the opening line with a peak inside the life of a Mongol.

Can’t wait to listen to the next books in this series. Not my typical book but this was FANTASTIC! Hands down the best audiobook I have ever listened to. The narrator was AMAZING. This story was so entertaining and hilarious. I kept laughing out loud throughout the book.

Best audible series ever. The book is the funniest I’ve ever read, and it itches the fantasy itch.

Such a beautiful meld of science fiction and faith. The story of redemption brought me to tears. You could easily put this up next to A Canticle for Leibowitz

The overall world and story was interesting but there was way too much explanation of the rules of the dungeon and minutiae. If I was reading I would have skipped through those sections. It was also a bit gratuitously gory, with a bit sexist characters. Donut was great.
