some times the civilization building aspect is almost too slow… however it’s almost completely necessary to get as invested as it makes you.

I thought the writing was sub par and the story beats were hacky. The main character was bred to be a space pilot secretly by her grandmother because only her family knows about aliens.

Hilarious often, attention grabbing constantly. The over city arc kept me captivated. The outside game is the real big stakes!

I haven’t been enthralled by a story in a while. I couldn’t stop listening, it was so great! I love the creative storyline and twists & turns! This is definitely an adult fantasy novel and it’s awesome!

I could see this being a cartoon or a movie. First time laughing hard it hurts, from a audiobook. The cats Name is princess Donut, that’s all you need to know.
