seriously, I’ve enjoyed this series so far, IN SPITE of the issues around the audio levels, but this book is the worst offender yet, and the point where I have to NOPE TF OUT altogether. Most of the characters are narrated at a reasonable volume, but pretty much EVERY TIME THE MIMIC SPEAKS, HE’S YELLING..

Very clever story telling. Not only each floor has a separate story line, there’s a notebook connect the story back to previous crawls. That lends quite a bit depth in to the story. The author did a splendid job weaving all of them together. It’s highly addictive — I’m blasting through the first 5 books..

Book 2 continues where book 1 left off, almost like there was no transition between the two. Hilarious as always, and actually had some emotional moments for me. I was already in love with this series after book 1, but book 2 has deepened that love and made me very excited for what the future..
