My first impression of this book was…WTF did my book club book pick?! By chapter four I was hooked! Now I am like an addict and HAVE to know what happens to Carl and Princess Donut. It’s a crazy and hilarious ride!

Matt Dinnamon himself called this book series “so silly” and it is. This isn’t Dostoyevsky, this is pure entertainment. It took me a little while to get past the fact that this isn’t Dungeon Crawler Carl, but I’m glad I did. Great story, great performance, and really good narration. It’s not quite as heavy on middle school humor as DCC, but still hilarious and compelling. If you’re thinking about getting it, don’t hesitate!
