I can’t get enough of boxy’s stories. I love stories told from the monsters perspective.

“Mimic & Me” is a powerhouse of an audiobook that delivers on every front – thrilling action, biting humor, and compelling characters. It’s a classic tale of an unlikely duo and their mutual struggle for survival that will have you laughing, gripping the edge of your seat, and shouting in triumph. If you’re a fan..
The MC is an orphan who hates slavery and the nobles. That’s all the characterization he gets, which is more than any of the women get in the story. Christian is basically murtagh from eragon, but without any depth. harsh words aside, it was okay, but it sort of didn’t go anywhere noteworthy and the..
Sample audio is misleading, there isn’t nearly enough mimic interaction to save this audiobook. There were numerous statements that were repeated throughout the novel that only really needed to be said once. Overall the authors seem fans of tell rather than show. Which is the opposite of how you would normally want writing. That said..
While I did enjoy this story, I really hope future books will lay off the nobles. Seriously, almost every other person he interacts with is a flipping nobles making the status hold no meaning. All of them are quick to abandon the MC if something doesn’t go exactly as planned.

This book is so well done, from the writing to the masterful performance. I love everything about this series!
The first 3 chapters are some of the worst I’ve ever read. The author obviously wants you to know that the nobles are bad people but does it in such a way that it becomes mind numbing. It becomes almost instantly unbelievable. Yes there are bad people out there but no one acts like this…
