I can’t recommend it enough, after being pushed by so many friends and family to read it or listen to the audio book, I finally relented. I am so glad I did.
This book is equal parts absurd, heartfelt and tense! This was so much more tense than the last book. I never was able to predict where we were going but I was happy to be along for the ride. The Narrator is a GOAT his narration is amazing and so funny. I love these books…
I just couldn’t get into this but finished it just waiting for it to get better. I’ve heard so many good things but found it repetitive and really boring.
The story here has no tension, no stakes. You realize that about halfway through book 2. Nobody gets hurt, nobody suffers consequence. The only ‘tragedy’ happens off screen, or involves characters you’ve known for about 3 minutes. It’s just boring, because every greases through the story effortlessly.
In this one, Carl and Princess Donut are trying to get through the Iron Tangle, which is this huge subway system full of monsters, political stuff, and tougher challenges. It really shows how creative Dinniman is. Even though the subway can be a bit confusing to get around sometimes, it also makes things chaotic and..
This series is FANTASTIC! I haven’t been so entertained by anything this much. Jeff Hays is BRILLIANT! Definitely the most fun I’ve had listening to a book in a long time.
