Well then. The narration and story were top notch on their own, but the cultural references and political subterfuge really make this book excel.

Has a cast so more highly entertaining. Great voices. Great story with humor and character building. Give it a few chapters for sure because there is world building first and character development.
I’ve read atleast 10+ book sagas that drop off and lose quality the further in you go. Thankfully dungeon Crawler Carl exceeds expectations with every book, the comedy gets better, the explosions get bigger, and Samantha continues to threaten mothers.
These books just go deeper and deeper into a world we have only scratched the surface of! I can’t wait to see where the crawlers go next.
The world is well built and compelling. based in our world as a template to begin on and as the book progresses it seeds a very large and interesting universe that has me putting together the hints and info to truly understand how the governments and corporations effect the plot and setting. Characters are absolutely..
A book about one mans retirement. Don’t expect action, intrigue, and drama this one is almost entirely setup for future problems with hints of the plot for later
I read this book years ago and was excited when the audible came out. First, this is a story that stuck with me for years. Great story. Memorable characters. But the voice actors took this story to a new level of amazing. You NEED to get this book and Audible version. Really.
Jeff Hays is one of the most talented narrators I’ve experienced. The story takes you to so many places and I have really come to care about the characters.
