A nice power fantasy harem without gratuitous sex or incurable virginity, and while the main character is very powerful he still has to put in effort to succeed. I couldn’t have hoped for better.

I really enjoyed this story with a very interesting twist to fantasy RPGs. Jeff Hays kills it with his performance as Chester.

I picked up this series by chance and I’ve grown to enjoy the story and the narrator. It’s a good mix of action, space exploration, science fiction and alien cultures. It was good that it was packaged three books to a volume as it made it easy to listen to.
The previous book, the butchers masquerade was a pretty damn good read all the way through. The end had some plot points that came out of left field for me but I’m glad to say this book handled those spectacularly. Even better; the end of this book has me completely on board for whatever comes..
Good plot progression in this series entry. It’s nice to see actual solution of early plot problems alongside the addition of new, bigger problems. Character development is proceeding at a pace that works well with the plot. We don’t see much in the way of new information about the world in this volume. While the..
