love it. i don’t care for the evil MC genre. i don’t even like playing through the evil paths in games. i love this book and everything i’ve heard about the series it’s a tasteful exploration of a different culture. it strongly reminds me of the works of Piers Anthony, along with games like Hellgate..
No hook for me, perhaps if I started with this book for LitEpg, I may have enjoyed this more. But it never kept me engaged in the story. Jeff performed well, almost RC Bray like in delivery, though the electronic voice effects, degraded the presentation . It seemed a bit of slog while listening. I..
The narration speed is finally consistent for the first time in several books. That alone was really nice. The story was good. A little confusing but good.

This has a great spin on usual litrpgs and has great world building across all the books. There is one part towards the end of book 3 that felt like there was a gap in the book and slipped ahead? Idk if this works but @mods @admins worth checking on this
I’m fairly new to the LitRPG field but if this is what it’s like, I’m glad I jumped in. Not only is the writing funny and I suspect I would have laughed even reading the story, but the performance an production take it completely to the next level.
