Jeff Hayes makes these books come alive. love this narrative voice. the story is fantastic but I imagine it would be a harder read. Audio is the way to go on these

I seriously can’t get enough of Carl, Mongo & Princess Donuts and Jeff Hays is hands down the best narrato

portrayed the infuriating nature of war well. so much damage because one side refused to sit down and talk. also like how they did the sound affect for the gravity bomb in this one. also love the reasonably petty nature of a few characters. for the colony!

The cat’s character fully develops into a believable example of someone with NPD, and how some of them abuse their friends and family. Everybody Loves Large Chests never had a great story, but it used made me laugh out loud. Now it doesn’t even have that and the story has ground to a halt. A good anecdote showing this is that at one point in the story Boxxy does a little side adventure, then complains when it’s done..

I enjoyed the vast majority of the story, with a minor complaint about the side-story of the demon. However, side-stories can be both positive or negative; for instance, I love each of the Tolly segments at the beginning of some of the chapters – quite amusing and giving us a look into life in Renewal.

I have not read a fiction book this good in a long, long time. It’s funny, witty, the story is amazing, and it manages to constantly keep you on your toes. If you’re looking for a fun read, this is the book for you!!!

Loved all of it. So glad we went the audio route when deciding to read this!
