Not sure why anyone complains about the second book, it’s not like the stakes are high, it’s a VR/AR LitRPG story. I *wanted* this book to be awesome. It’s a great deal, with an excellent narrator (who does a great job). But… The book needs severe polish. The pacing is awful. Exposition is dumped heavy-handedly. Things that should have impact, such as the special items the main character has collected, simply do not. The various levels..

I’ve been listening to audio books for over 10 years and this is by far one of the best series I’ve listened to. I rarely write reviews but I absolutely had to for this amazing book series!

Odd systems and weird intro in the the world. There is a little weakness to the plot that ties Ed’s earth with the world and some the action seems a little trite imo. Still overall it was fun enough and I’d like his abilities to build. I would be interested to see where it goes.

he keeps harping on the romantic part between 4 people and once you get about it over and over again your about into book 3 and you can’t even stand the story anymore because of the romance crap in the books

Didn’t expect the spicy bits and very much enjoyed them! Great story overall. Highly recommend.

great storyline, can feel the personal touch and emotions put into the story. I especially enjoyed the references to War Aeternus

the execution of the read is great! this series is one of my favorites
