Just amazing! Best audio book I’ve listen to. Voice actor was perfect. I loved every minute.
Amazing
Review from Dungeon Crawler Carl →
I’m fairly new to the lit-Rpg audio books but have throughly enjoyed most of them this was no exception very fun and entertaining listen.
Never would have picked this up normally. But from a ton of recommendations I gave it a try, and so glad I did!
The sadism is just performative at this point. If that’s what floats your boat, I’m sure this will be perfect for you.
I want to send Matt and Jeff a thank you note. I have fallen more and more in love with these characters every book and can’t believe I have such deep emotions over dinosaurs in tutus, naked half elf/naiad princess with moving tattoos, and sentient sex doll heads. Beautifully written.
Don’t start this unless you have a month with nothing going on. I started book one 3 weeks ago and I’m almost done with book 7
My Take on Books 1 & 2:The first book sets the stage perfectly, but Book 2 (The Maestro’s Carnival) really turns up the heat. The stakes get higher, the humor gets sharper, and the RPG mechanics are deep without ever feeling tedious.Bottom Line: If you want a series that will make you laugh out loud..
If you are looking for the absolute best RPG storyline on the market, look no further. I’ve listened to a lot of GameLit and LitRPG, but Matt Dinniman’s Dungeon Crawler Carl (Books 1 and 2) exists in a league of its own. Why This Series Rules: The Ultimate Duo: The chemistry between Carl and Princess..
the voice actor, and by extension the authors ability to weave this story and narrative thay has you so pulled in and on the edge of your seat, and then drop a joke line that stops you from crying like a baby at work.
