Voice is of narrator takes me away from the story . The story is neat but I’d need a different narrator to keep going.
Narration needs updating

If you like Matt Dinniman’s Dungeon Crawler Carl series, you’ll love this stand alone book, too! The themes are especially poignant given current issues surrounding the use of AI, intense tribalism, and detachment from real-life friendships and community in favor of parasocial relationships. The central characters and well-developed, lovable, and relatable. After falling in love..
deceptively deep. the characters are three dimensional. I cared what happened to them. this is also a very funny book, and the action will keep you on the edge of your seat. this might be better than Carl.
The voices were amazing, the writing conveyed serious tones and astoundingly hilarious moments perfectly. I have never been happier with an audio book before
Fun, terrifying, heartbreaking, and scarily realistic. Wonderful perfomances and loveable characters make this one helluva ride.
My biggest problem is Carl sounds like a Patrick Warburton knock off. Which the narrator admits was his inspiration in interviews. It almost turned me off of the series. The second one I feel Carl finds his own voice. Similar but its not a temu copy anymore.
