This was a great series. The first book was compelling, great character building and interesting world building. The second book dragged a bit, keeping the main characters apart. Part three was terrific, an excellent reunion. The only complaint is the lag in the story on the second book, but worth listening all the way through.

This book series, including this book, has a great storyline but has been rife with sexual tension, and it’s just not my thing. I’ve ignored it through the first four, but with this book, Balwin ramped the sexual focus to a level I can’t continue to enjoy.
