This book fits perfectly with the series and keeps the pace and insanity going strong. The only problem is that now we have to wait for the next book to be released to continue the journey!
Really fantastic story or Gen X and above gamers and the narration is some of the best I’ve ever heard.
Narration is really good! It brings the story to life in a way that reading it just wouldn’t do.

lots of action. the ending kept me on edge the narrator does an amazing job to convey the emotion
This was an enjoyable listen with characters I enjoyed. The arrogance of the main character was very entertaining. I liked the sub characters a lot as well.

The tags say, Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Steampunk. It should read Urban Fantasy, Crime, LitRPG. It reminds me a lot of the Darkness comic if Estacado were card based. The mains are middling at best, the gimmick hammer is so absurd and disappointing that I refuse to listen to any more, doesn’t even have good writing to compensate.
I am not sure if reading the book would have been better. I only started liking ANY of the characters around the 4th decade of chapters. Til then, everyone is a complete asshole. Easter eggy mentions that don’t mean a whole lot. At least it got some better. Great in Carl, not so much here.
