why do authers feel the need to “nerf” there MC right at the end of book 1? I mean it happens so often it should be a trope but it is very annoying to me, kind of feels lazy, so that’s why the story only gets 4stars.

Well done performance by the narrators but the story definitely drags quite bit. I did enjoy the premise but the story got a bit too caught up in the physics excitement.
