I really enjoyed this book, the m.c. can be a little whiney, but it has an interesting story.

Review from Adventurer Academy →
Firstly, I would say this book is at least worth a read or listen. Secondly though, this book has a lot of issues which surprised me due to the fact it has a 4.4/5 on Amazon.. To be blunt, the humor is lackluster, almost all the scenes lack detail and depth, a lot of characters..
The book is good enough. It is a YA book and I think it would hit that target audience well. The “But”: I don’t say this to be mean but Aurelia Vazquez sounds awful. Either she is wearing a night brace, or has something in her mouth, or has a constant swollen tongue when she..
The series is well-written, enjoyable, and novel – and this is coming from someone who has listened to fantasy books for many years. The performance is wonderful as well. I was impressed, and that doesn’t happen very often.
I really enjoyed this book. It builds the intensity as the chapters progress. only little gripe was the constant notifications the mc gets after every person is killed. it breaks up the flow of battle but the story was still great. on to book 3
So I have to say, I went into this book with both expectations and reservations. My introduction to Dave Willmarth’s writing was The Dark Elf Chronicals, which I can’t wait for more of, so this set the bar pretty dang high. The problem of course is that with high expectations because of one series sometimes..
Got 1/4 into the book, really a struggle, MC made a lot of avoidable mistakes but never punished. at the last moment someone always steps in to save him. returning the book.
I own all the the Doungon Lord sires and I love them all This one was kinda hard to start but was just as good as the first.
Adventurer Academy was a very entertaining book. it caught and held my interest from the beginning. It has good pacing and the audio production was good quality. I look forward to continuing this serise.
