Story seems mostly fine. The theatrical bit gets worse as the series progresses playing background noise to “help immersion”. There’s a number of sections in this book I had to skip forward as the noises were so loud and distracting it frustrated me because I couldn’t focus on what was actually happening as the noise..
Modern problems demands Modern solutions and Dungeon Crawler Carl is the solution Sci-Fi and fantasy literature needed. Not everyone will get it, and from those who will not all will follow but damn this series is so engaging and addictive, it’s the equivalent of the MCU 10 years ago in cinema only in literature. A lovely tale of an A.I.’s one-sided love affair with the world’s most perfectly sculpted pair of feet. Lots of character building, over-the-top action, and zany antics from the usual gang of crawlers. Also, onion ninjas.

I don’t thing there was a single thing I disliked about this book. I don’t normally buy physical books due to lack of space but this is one and the rest of this series is totally worth it.
