What can I say that hasn’t already been said? I’ve put more hours into this series (audiobook versions, because Jeff Hays is some kind of audiobook narrating demigod who has ruined other narrators for me) than any other single book series, and I have zero regrets. Starts out as a LOTR parody, then quickly morphs into a cartoonishly wholesome subversion of the high fantasy genre. The whole voice cast and production did a wonderful job bringing the adventure to life, and endearing me to the slimiest and lowliest of the traditionally evil fantasy races: Goblins.

I’m completely hooked and will be listening to these back to back. It is an incredible DnD-style story balancing out comedy, drama, and action. The characters and voices are some of, if not, the best I’ve ever experienced. I don’t think I’ve ever left a review on an audio series before this, it’s that good…
