I think this is a really fun listen. Characters are daily well developed for such a short book.
Loved it

I liked the audio acting. the storyline is engaging and very entertaining. Carl and Donut are the best friends you wish you had.
wonderful narration, solid story, good balance. If you are reading this review you are already likely invested in the story be assured that this isn’t one of those “loved the series but ending felt rushed” situations. Enjoy this entry with a satisfying closure.
Matt Dinniman has done it again. Amazingly creative story and characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Helped hold me over until next Dungeon Crawler Carl.
if I fall one of the most interesting takes, I felt that the character was a bit dull at first and dim-witted but you grew to love him and the story started to pick up speed. other than that, I would recommend
It’s like Expeditionary Force but D&D instead of Space Opera, and Skippy is a cat. It’s like Sword Art Online but American instead of Japanese. It’s heavily inspired by Borderlands/Wonderlands (especially the in-book game’s narrator’s voice being similar to Claptrap). If you like those things (and you should), you’ll love this series!
Review from The Greystone Chronicles: Book One: Io Online →
From start to finish, I was engaged. Science Fiction should stretch the boundaries of beliefs and comfort.
I’m not an avid reader. I picked up this book on a whim a few months ago because I thought the premise was interesting. Now, seven books later, I’m going back and revisiting the whole series over again in audiobook form. It’s that good.
