Carl is a great protagonist, lovable even. The humor seems to be targeted to teenage boys. I am the opposite of that but sometimes I found myself laughing out loud.

This is an excellent book. It’s dark, funny, morbid and it’s a dnd packed adventure with some hunger games thrown in for funsies. Did I mention there are aliens? Yeah that’s a thing. Well voice acted I was laughing constantly.

Not as strong as the first two IMO but still very good. Ready for book 4.
