Dinniman doesn’t BS you with a long lead up or boring backstories. You get to jump right in. And I was immediately invested in the story and main characters. Jeff Hays’ narration is top-tier! The action is epic, gruesome, and heart-wrenching. The story is fast-paced, clever, and hilarious. I shouted at the characters multiple times..
This book just gets all up there, action-packed, intriguing, hilarious just goes all out from start to finish. At the same time tugging at the heart continuously, over the main characters (Carl, Princess 🍩 etc.) and side characters, their back stories no one is overlooked. Matt Dinniman is a true wizard!! Jeff Hayes did an..
it makes you care about each character with such detailed back stories. even the bad guys you actually care about what they are doing and what will happen to them. overall great.
Matt Dinniman’s masterfully woven storylines narrated by the incomparable Jeff Hays is pure magic. Run don’t walk to the first in the series. Reward? You get to look forward to book 7, the best yet.
Narrator sounds like Kronk, the AI in the book cracks me up and doughnut is written perfectly for her race!

Where this story shines however is in its ensemble which expands as the story goes along, building a sneakily strong cast of relatively simple but likable characters. There are a couple of things that take..
This is an amazing series, and I finished it in a day. I’m chomping at the bit for the rest of the series to be ready as audiobooks
