For mature audiences. Think dead pool, dungeons and dragons, and that movie called the game.
Funny as heck…

Bringing the book to life. Just WOW! Love the voice actor and the ability to do so many complex and different voices.
Not my favorite of the series, but it does bring everything together in a fun way. It’s definitely the densest; the pace feels a little slower while a LOT is happening all at once. That gives it a different vibe than the running & gunning (or bombing) flight for their lives of the others. And..
I started this book thinking “I would’ve loved this when I was a teen” and then as the story went on I found that I actually just loved it. It’s the best video game that’s never been made. So much fun.
I enjoyed the story, but found the constantly changing voices of the mimic distracting. having the mimic only using the last voice of what it consumed would have been better. it would have been more interesting dealing with chester when he consumed something that was not verbally communicative.
The story wasn’t bad, nothing too funny. There were some chuckles, but it obviously is good enough if I bought the second book.
The narration. is excellent and the story stays captivating. The development of key characters and story twists are great and well executed.
This is a great follow up. The story stays entertaining and interesting. Soundbooth does a fantastic job with the production of the book.
