Not a “horror”

The Correspondent by Virginia Evans was such a beautiful and heartfelt read… I loved that it wasn’t written in the standard “novel” format, but through letters between characters. That made it feel more personal… more intimate… like you were being let into the quiet parts of someone’s life. Through Sybil’s story, I saw so much..
I enjoyed the honesty and bravery of a 78 year old woman telling stories about regretful phases of her life. As you hear the stories, you can relate to some of her situations. The audible part makes the characters so much more real.
It took me a little while to get into, but this was such a beautiful, humbling story about family, friendship, career, aging, and grief, a story about life itself. Written as a series of letters, the text flows gently and calmly but full of wisdom. It was an absolute delight to listen to, both to..
This is one of those books I cannot imagine would be the same just reading it- the narrators were incredible and made me “feel” the story!
Great character development and touching story of a women’s journey through life. Audio made it delightful.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one. almost was not expecting the plot twist. found myself gasping a cooler of times especially at Diane’s admission. Over all good stuff, despite the fact that I feel Lizzy💀 got it way too easy. I oddly enough thought it was gon be super dark. this works too.
Loved the character voices ! Wonderful and authentic I could hardly turn my phone off to take care of priorities.
Don’t be bogged down when things seem a little slow, because it all fits together for a really great story.
