The most unappealing main character I’ve met in awhile.I kept reading because I wondered how others put up with this person. It’s an interesting concept, and I believe people DO often communicate more effectively through writing; I’m even glad the correspondent finds some resolution – but this sort of person is not anyone I want..

The audio version was perfect, each voice capturing the characters accurately. This is a beautiful story, one of the finest books I have ever read.

I liked the way it was written but it was a bit slow for me
I saw this on a lot of ‘must read’ lists so I gave it a try, but it was the most boring thing I’ve ever read. I managed to power through it but only because I don’t like to leave things unfinished. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
An absolutely riveting story. So human, so devastating, so beautiful, heartbreaking, and heart healing at the same time. I think the audiobook may be even better than the written form, because of the voices given to all the different characters through which they really came to life. Highly, highly recommended!!
