Such an unusual way to tell a story, but so beautiful. I couldn’t pause this one. Maybe it’s the time in my life but I don’t think so. I cared for all the people I met in the letters. I loved this!
I have no idea how great the story ends because I had to call it quits. The main character (the daughter), is very irritating. As was the depiction of her friend. It was perhaps better suited for a teenage audience. I’m surprised by all the good reviews because I really tried to get through this..
This book gripped my attention from the very beginning. The narrator performed it so well, especially the long pauses which said so much with no words.
Loved it all! So needed at this time. The actors voice is so soothing.. Excellent read. Excited to share with others.
Interesting approach to tell a story only through letters……. Themes of aging are well captured by a younger author.
I normally don’t pick books in this genre. But it came highly recommended. I loved it! Very different from anything else I have read but thoroughly enjoy the story. Give it a try, you might enjoy it as well.
Though she is clearly intelligent, well-read, and articulate, her tone is judgmental and emotionally closed. The result is a character whose intellectual confidence is arrogant, and void of compassion. Sibel openly expresses disdain for modern Republicans while presenting herself as the voice of moral clarity.
