Really like that the author didn’t write a bunch of fluff conversations to lengthen the story. Story was unpredictable and very engaging. Love that most questions were answered at the end.

Lovely lighthearted murder mystery. I like this series for a break from darker listens. Characters are developed just well enough for the story. The investigation is pretty amateurish. Since are they are amateurs.

Nothing about this book worked for me. Admittedly, I’m not a fan of the author’s wordy writing style, which really slowed down the pace. I also found the storyline unbelievable (and occasionally downright silly). In addition, the caricatures in the story were not real people that I cared about. I’m really not sure whether this..
This was one of the best romance books I’ve read/listened in a long while and the narration performances were phenomenal! I typically go for more angsty/adventure type romances but this was so sweet and funny and warm and just…ahhh! Cara Bastone just got added to my favorite authors list.

The plot wasn’t bad and the twists were ok (I guessed one of them) but it didn’t knock my socks off like it did for many of the 5 star reviews it got. Different strokes. First time reading this author. I wouldn’t mind reading something else by her.
