What a fun way to relive someone’s life through their words, which come through as strong and powerful feelings.
I really enjoyed the story and format of this book. I was curious about how it would sound when played in audiobook, but someone recommended that audiobook was much better than book, so I tried and I am glad I did it. Go for it!
Story of life. How we live, how we love and how we manage our failures and regrets and still persevere.
What an absolute treasure. A heartbreaking and heartwarming story told through letters. Sybil is like most of us, a complex person. The letters slowly reveal a moving story of her connection to others, the story of her regrets and reconciliation. How do we give ourselves the grace we kindly grant to others? I will read..
How the main character’s point of view expanded & she became happier. Your 15 word minimum is annoying.
Sorry to disagree with all the 5 star reviews but this book just was not my cup of tea. Maybe better to read than listen to? Hearing the addresses over and over in the letter format was so repetitive and felt like filler. The story was just okay and seemed very choppy via the letter..
I liked everything about this novel. Written well, narrated perfectly really just excellent. It really rang true through all the characters.
I loved how the story unfolded through all the many letters. It is such a clever way to tell the story. The character development was great and the characters were very interesting and believable.
