Disliked all the letters back-and-forth with all the addresses constantly. I think it took up half of the book just with all the PO Box and letters going back-and-forth would not recommend.
the title of my review says almost everything…except that this one hit very close to home, and I shed tears at the end. Excellent.
It was a slower start for me but as the story went on it became very interesting. I enjoyed the use of letters to tell the story of this woman’s life. It was sweet development of the characters through the story. It’s a moving story and reminders of how short life is to appreciate those..
The multigenerational relationships. The way love can strengthen and weaken a relationship the ability of the main correspondent undresses herself and finds relief
Its such a cute story. I listened to it twice now, and plan to do so many more times. I wish it was a physical book 📖. The narrators did an amazing job, loved the different individuals for different roles. Enjoyed thay they incorporate the sounds outside or what could be in the background.
What an incredible story, so beautiful told. I will not forget Sybil. She’s a lovely, thoughtful, intelligent, formidable spirit I’m so glad I got to enjoy.
I think I have had only one other book have an effect on me like this book did! I have no words! I could actually feel this story.
