Thought I wouldn’t like this, but friends kept telling me to give it a try. I’m glad I listened. This is a fresh way of presenting a novel. The story of Sybil Van Antwerp was engaging. I both liked her and disliked her all at the same time.

While it starts as a story of a woman in independence and solitude, her correspondence reveals connections and kindnesses as she reflects on her life and how she touches others. The maturing of the main character as she eventually welcomes new relationships and experiences was fascinating to read.

The dialogue was wonderful in detail, witty. Will definitely recommend. Story was sweet yet sad

I was trying to diversify my library and chose this after reading some reviews. Took me a little while to get into it but I’m so wishing I could continue reading it for many hundreds of pages more.

Life….addressed in the most sacred moments of sharing through script, currently a lost art form in many ways. The best audiobook I’ve listened to in quite awhile..,a novel of the truest, purest expression.

Touching and poignant in all the ways. The narrators were brilliant. I look forward to rereading the hard copy some day.
